Özgür Yılmaz

Özgür Yılmaz received his BSc. degree from Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University in 2003. He started his PhD studies in University of Houston on computational neuroscience and cognitive vision. He has got full scholarship and worked as teaching and research assistant. He received his PhD degree in 2007 and started working in ASELSAN Inc. as vision scientist. He developed image processing and computer vision algorithms for various defense products. In 2010 he started working in UMRAM as a postdoctoral researcher.

His research interests are Diffusion Tensor Imaging, fMRI, material perception in humans, lightness perception, attention and structure from motion.

His fields of specialization are computer vision, cognitive vision and magnetic resonance imaging.
