Manouchehr Takrimi was born in Urmia, Iran, in 1971. He received the B.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from Tehran University, Tehran, Iran, in 1993, M.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 1996, and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2016.
From 1996 to 2012, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Azad University of Urmia, Iran, as a full-time lecturer. In 2012 he chose the Bilkent University in Ankara to pursue his studies in the field of electromagnetic radiation and scattering. After graduating in 2016, he returned to Iran and became an Assistant Professor in the same university. Starting from 2018, he has been collaborating with UMRAM research center in Bilkent University as an engineer and system designer and finally, on August 2016, he joined the Aysel Sabuncu Brain Research Center in Bilkent University as a full-time member.
His current research interests include gradient coil design, microwave passive elements, antenna analysis and design, and computational methods in electromagnetics including MoM, FEM, and IBEM.
