Bilkent University and UMRAM are full partner in a Marie Curie ITN consisting of 7 leading Universities and 2 industrial partners, and will receive a total of 237.000 Euros (Total Project Budget: 3,014,865.92 Euros) over the period of 48 months, starting January 1, 2013. The project is coordinated by Dr. Roland Fleming at the Justus-Liebig University of Giessen (Germany), scientist in charge at Bilkent University and UMRAM is Dr. Doerschner. Funds will support training of PhD students in the scope of project PRISM (see project abstract and network partners listed below).
Perceptual Representation of Illumination, Shape and Material (PRISM)
Visual perception provides us with a richly detailed representation of the surrounding world, enabling us to make subtle judgements of 1) 3D shape, 2) the material properties of objects, and 3) the flow of illumination within a scene.
